Start a Campaign

Show your support for EDCI and start a campaign. There are so many websites that make it easy for individuals like: Indiegogo, Razoo, Kickstarter, GoFundMe, Crowdtilt and many more.  The process is pretty straight forward. You don't need to know any coding or have technical skills. In fact, most websites offer support in helping individuals set up a campaign. And the best part is that you don't have to pay anything! Sure the crowdfunder company charges a fee, but they get paid by the donor. Every company has different benefits, so choose the one that best fits your needs...accepting mobile donations, telling your facebook friends, running a blog, creating badges, etc.

If you decide to help us, send us your photo or group photo and we'll display it on our Wall of Fame! We wish you tremendous success. Good Luck!

Volunteer

Volunteer

Staff and volunteers alike represent the EDCI Family. Volunteers commit time and energy to support adult survivors of child abuse on their journey toward healing. We believe educating volunteers with a greater understanding of the issues relating to our guests not only assists EDCI in supporting our mission, but also in developing advocates who can educate others about the needs of this population. Our goal is to maintain an environment where volunteers can have a satisfying experience; where learning and developing skills is an enjoyable part of the process. We encourage questions, suggestions and open exchange between staff and volunteers. We provide an initial training as well as opportunities to expand your knowledge.

All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. No prior knowledge or training of adult survivors of child abuse is neccessary. EDCI will provide training and materials neccessary for successful outcomes. A background check and Trauma Informed Care training (read more about our approach) from EDCI are required. Fundraise

Often people wish they could support nonprofits but don’t know how. There are a lot of options available to support EDCI

walkathon

Examples of how you can contribute to our cause:

  • Offer to print our brochures
  • Write an article about EDCI in your company’s newsletter with a link to our “Donate” page
  • Sponsor a breakfast where Diane Champé can meet community leaders
  • Ask your employer to match donations
  • Sponsor a fundraiser during April to honor National Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month
  • Provide speaking opportunities for Diane Champé to discuss the long-term impact of child abuse and how we are addressing this public crisis
  • Have a “Donation” jar in your office to collect extra change to support adult survivors of child abuse
  • Provide free advertising space

These are just a few of the ways you can honor adult survivors, help in their recovery from their abuse, and provide needed funds for our EDCI Center.

If you have any others suggestions or want more information, please contact Diane Champé
