Members of our Professional Advisory Board provide their professional expertise, knowledge and perspective of child abuse issues/concerns, and connections to local and national resources.

Diane Champé, Founder

Diane Champé is retired from a Fortune 20 company where she was a Marketing/Sales Strategic Planner on the Regional Vice President’s staff. She is a Subject Matter Expert (S.M.E.) on issues relating to child abuse and neglect. As a survivor herself, she dedicates her efforts toward working on behalf of adult survivors, publishing books/information and speaking publicly about the long-term effects of child abuse and neglect.

Catherine Busch, PhD

Catherine Busch is a child clinical psychologist with 20 years of experience treating child and adolescent victims of sexual abuse/assault. She was staff psychologist and clinical director of a rape crisis/child abuse center in Howard County, Maryland from 1991 to 2008.

Ashley Fundack, MS

Ashley Fundack, MS, is an affiliate faculty member at Loyola University, while working on her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice at Capella University and conducting research [currently] on sexual offenders.

Nancy Hensler, PhD

Nancy Hensler is a licensed psychologist in private practice in the District of Columbia, with 14 years of clinical experience and 25 years of experience in higher education.  She trained with and worked for five years as an associate in the practice of Christine A. Courtois Ph.D., an internationally-recognized expert in posttraumatic stress, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Michael Hurley, PhD

Dr. Hurley earned his MA in Experimental Psychology at The College of William & Mary, and his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Miami.

Neil Jaffee

Neil Jaffee is legal counsel for the Vertigo Charitable Foundation, LLC. Prior to holding that position, he was for over 20 years an Assistant Federal Public Defender for the District of Columbia, where he handled cases on both the trial and appellate levels.

Diana McChesney

Diana McChesney is an organizational development professional with broad experience directing training functions in the consumer product, health insurance, and non-profit industries. She is experienced in the design and implementation of management/leadership – training curricula, employee satisfaction surveys, performance management programs, succession planning, and executive coaching for senior management, continually elevating processes to increase achievement of organizational objectives.
